Class II
- History of the Internet
- Home Page/Index page seeding/ the site manager in Dreamweaver
- Anchor element, href attributes – placing a picture and your first assignment on your home page.
- Planning, Principles Audience, Relevance
- Establish Teams, Interview classmates, prepare personal Index Page; HTML Review
- Basic web file structures
- Assignment 1 – Due, posted to your website
- Assignment 2 – What needs would a microsite options (film festival, news reporting site, jazz profiles)
Week Two – April 6 – 8
Class III
- Assignment 2 – Due
- Analyzing audience needs, basic layout design principles, Basic HTML and coding
- Assignment 3 – Prepare a team roles Roster and add it to your index page. Add links to teammates to your index Page
Class IV
- Assignment 3 Due
- People – Team assignments and role discussion; Elements of paper prototyping.
- Audio and video for the web
- Assignment 4 – prepare a site map poster
Week 3 – April 13 – 15
Class V
- Assignment 4 – Due present site maps
- Planning a Web Site; Process maps; Client/Audience review; Design considerations; Navigation,
- Add Navigation to your homepage
- Assignment 5 – Create a new, 1 page memo describing your team’s project (include motivation, audience, objectives); Each
- team member must link this on their index page. Add this page to your teams website
Class VI

Week 4 April 20 – 22

- Proposal – Alpha Design – Milestone 1
- Present and communicate design principles – present paper design concepts with mock ups – wireframes
